The EPA held a National Bed Bug Summit on April 14th and 15th in Washington, aimed to tackle the growing bed bug problem in the US. This summit brought together officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Pentagon, scientists, state and local officials, and pest management professionals to discuss prevention and awareness of bed bugs in an open, public forum. Richard Cooper, Technical Director for Bed Bug Central was among the speakers at the summit.
