Phil Cooper is CEO of BedBug Central located in Lawrenceville, NJ. In 2007 Phil founded BedBug Central, in response to the lack of educationand awareness with the growing bed bug problem. Leveraging the knowledge of his nationally recognized brother, Entomologist Richard Cooper, BedBug Central is now one of the leading bed bug websites and providers of bed bug information, education and products in the country. In 2010, BedBug Central launched the world’s largest bed bug education meeting and trade show, BedBug University’s North American Summit, held in Chicago. The North American Summit is now an annual event.
Phil serves on the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Board of Directors and was a member of the NPMA Blue Ribbon Bed Bug Task Force. He is a past President of Associated Pest Services and currently serves as Second Vice President for the New Jersey Pest Management Association. In 2010 his company was honored by Inc. Magazine as one of the 40 top Small Businesses to Work for in the United States. In 2011 his company was awarded the Rothman Institute’s New Jersey Family Business of the Year.
Phil graduated from The George Washington University in 1984 with a BBA in Marketing. Driving all of this success is Phil’s passion surrounding life, business and family. His passion has been widely on display as the poster child of the Philadelphia Eagles appearing on the cover of their schedules and yearbook in 2010. Phil also teaches spin class and participates in various annual charities for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
