About the Webinar

As bed bugs hitchhike across the country, more and more they find their way into school residence halls, childcare centers, and multi-family dwellings. In this webinar, we will briefly explore our history with bed bugs and quickly move to highlight the recent improvements in bed bug detection, monitoring, and control technologies.

Our presenters will discuss the importance of monitors in a bed bug Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and the latest control strategies for schools, residence halls, childcare centers, and multi-family housing. Integrated pest management (IPM) is an approach that uses a hierarchy of practices, including education, pest exclusion, sanitation, and other biological and mechanical methods, to reduce unnecessary pesticide exposure while providing sustainable bed bug control.

When dealing with bed bugs, learn what you should do, things to avoid, and issues to be aware of. You’ll also hear suggestions for interviewing pest management professionals and setting expectations for their services. Join us as we discuss this next level of IPM strategies to reduce unnecessary exposure to bed bugs and pesticides in your community.
