In this episode Jeff talks about a study that was recently discussed online about the effect of blood alcohol content on the amount of blood bed bugs take when they feed. A University of Nebraska at Lincoln study was recently released that demonstrated the higher percentage of blood alcohol, the less blood bed bugs took when they fed. While this is an interesting finding, it shouldn't be interpreted that if you drink before bed, bed bugs will not feed on you and you can solve your bed bug infestation. It only demonstrated that bed bugs will take less blood and potentially produce less eggs, not stop feeding, stop producing eggs or eliminate a bed bug infestation.
